Fellow Disney blogger Michelle Harker posted an article and video featuring West Coast artist Noah yesterday on the Disney Parks Blog. We heart Noah and LOVE (that’s with capital letters) the 5-foot Vinylmation figure he created that was inspired by World of Color (yes, we still can’t wait to see that show!!). The interview he did is a lot of fun so we hope you enjoy as much as we did – SEE IT HERE.

Noah also shared with as a picture he took with his camera during the morning that video was shot. Awesomeness!

We had the opportunity to see the Main Street Elecrical Parade last night at Magic Kingdom® Park. How “electrosynthamagnetically” awesome it was to see it again! Some Guests may have heard about the new Create Your Own Vinylmation figure that is being released within the week at Disneyland® Resort (don’t worry Florida and on-line fans, it is coming soon).

With the debut of the World of Color, it seemed fitting to have the new Glow-in-the-Dark Vinylmation® Figure released in California first. There will be a 9″ and a 3″ version of the figure as seen below.

Some of you may be wondering – does it really glow in the dark? Yes – it really does. Here is the 3″ Figure glowing with the lights out. Sweet! Though we kind of feel we are seeing a ghost.

We’ve received many questions about this Vinylmation™ figure, which was created by the Disney Parks News Bureau as a special gift. This figure is not considered to be a limited edition, and could be reordered at any time (hence the lack of an edition size on the footstamp of the figure). This figure was designed as a promotional gift and is not available for sale at Disney Parks. Finally, although it is similar to the blue figure found in the Vinylmation™ Clear Series #1, the figure is much darker and is not a re-purposed Clear figure.

In other news, we recently spoke with Alex Maher who created the “Stitched Bear” one-of-a-kind Vinylmation™. This was Alex’s first one-of-a-kind creation, and he gave us some additional insight into its creation. He spent about 25 hours working on the figure itself; each night he would spend a little bit of time making it come to life. He had two different concepts – one was a clown and one was the stitched bear. He loved how the final design turned out as it looks like a child’s toy who has seen lots of love. Way to go, Alex!

We are also excited to share today a new wallpaper image based on the one-of-a-kind figure designed by Disney Design Group Artist Quynh Kimball for the grand opening of D-Street in Florida. It is currently on display (and available for retail) at the location. We hope you enjoy it as it is one of our favorite designs. We will post some additional one-of-a-kind wallpaper images within the next week or so. The photograph of these figures was shot by Steven (and yes, he had his EPCOT Center camera strap).

The official Vinylmation website blog is reporting that the 3″ Cutesters will not make it to the Disneyland Resort by December 17th. However, the new colors of the Create-Your-Own Vinylmation will be released with Urban Series #3 at the D Street on December 17th.

-The special 3″ Vinylmation pieces from Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and the Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights that were released on November 10th will be arriving at the Disneyland Resort in a few days. The Epcot Holidays Around the World Vinylmation will be released at Epcot on November 27th. Randy Noble will be signing his creation on December 4th at the Magic Kingdom inside the Main Street Gallery from 6-8 PM.

-The 9″ Create Your Own Vinylmation can now be found in boxes as seen below (Retail $39.95):

-Vinylmation now has a large display in the Tomorrowland Light and Power Co., including the first series of Vinylmation plush. The store and arcade re-opened on Saturday with the soft-opening of Space Mountain at the Magic Kingdom:
